Bacula is a backup system whose client & server structure allows it to make backups throughout a net into different devices.
Due to its multiplatform character, it's a really useful tool for system administrators, because it is possible to make backups and send from one computer to another even if the use different Operating Systems.
Bacula already supports: Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Windows, Mac OS X, OpenBSD, and more.
Bacula is composed by several components, each one doing a different task: Bacula Director, Bacula File Daemon, Bacula Storage Daemon and Bacula Console.
It was thought to be used by big organizations, but if you need it you'll be able to use it even if you only have two computers.
